Mid 30's female heroin addict suffering from endocarditis comes to the Emergency Room. She's transferred from the ER to Intensive Care after her lung collapsed.
UCI is a teaching hospital. This emergency is handled by an intern attempting his first central line stick into her neck.
Her arms, legs, wrists, and hands are cover with tracks from IV drug use.

Triage decides to start a line in the neck.
This major blood vessel tears. The blood runs into the lung cavity.
The pressure causes the lung to collapse.
The Doc says, "blood pressure is too low, insert a chest tube."
Quickly staff holds the women down while the Doc cuts an opening.
The blood goes 'SPLAT' onto the team.
In shock now, the women experience a cool quiet time.
She is on the ceiling looking down at the ER scene.
