Dysfunction Homelessness Incarceration
Just an American Baby Boomer. A product of the 70's drug culture.
Back in the day, we thought everybody was getting high.
Well, many people outgrew the drugs, sex, rock, and roll attitudes.
I was one who got caught in the addiction trap.
After the hippy thing was over after the disco days had wound down; the party still continued for me.

I lived as an active heroin and cocaine addict for 16 years.
I went in and out of jails regularly.
On and off of the methadone maintenance programs.
At that time I witnessed a group of street people addicts and alcoholics who lived their most functional life in custody.
Where food, sobriety, and shelter were provided to them by the system.
Society had deemed these people were felt unable to provide for themselves.
When personal dysfunction creates a problem for others;
incarceration is often the result.

Addiction, Mental Illness, lack of organizational skills,
gravely ill people of dysfunction.
Falling through society's safety nets into the jails.
I finally got too physically compromised and had to get clean.
Now as a sober productive member of our society for about 30 years; my responses to life situations are so much different.
I am a part of the collective.
A worker among workers.
A blade of grass in the lawn of life.
American Know-How!
I'm mostly staying at home.
In cooperation with our government, CDC, and WHO directives.
America is doing what is being asked of us in this time of crisis we stand strong together.
If needed we'd pick up our muskets and fight.
We'd do that.
God Bless America and everywhere else.
Some people may scoff in denial.
I follow directions.
Soldier up folks!
